About Me
I am a CG artist and programmer with a background working both as a Previs and Layout artist and as a TD and Pipeline developer. I recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with an emphasis in Animation from Brigham Young University’s award-winning animation program. With a blend of artistic and technical skills I look forward to helping my teams solve problems and create high quality, impactful media
As a Pipeline TD I have worked with teams of developers to design, implement, and optimize the pipeline systems, streamlining production workflows for departments such as Previs, Layout, Editorial, and Animation. I have worked with pipelines that integrate Maya, Houdini, Unreal Engine, Substance Painter and Designer, Shotgrid, and Ftrack. My experience coding in Python, C++, C, and Java has given me a flexible skillset to solve problems and complete work.
During my work as a Previs and Layout artist I have used my technical knowledge and foundation in composition, visual storytelling, and CG camerawork to bring shots and sequences into 3D. I have experience collaborating with teams and I take feedback well, efficiently iterating on assigned tasks with a keen attention to details. I’ve worked on shots in Maya, Unreal, and Houdini and am able to quickly learn and adjust to new CG softwares and workflows as needed.
I love the feeling of satisfaction that comes from a job well done, and I’m excited to keep meeting more talented artists and developers as I work on each new project.
